The BCCS provider will assess your eligibility and submit the application on your behalf. After HHSC reviews the application, you will be informed by mail of your Medicaid status, including the effective date of coverage and Medicaid Eligibility Determination Group number, or reason for denial. Applicants may contact 2-1-1 to request information about the status of their application and Medicaid number. Once enrolled in MBCC, you will receive information from HHSC in the mail on how to choose an MCO.
