Medical City Dallas Hospital, located in north Dallas, Texas, first opened its doors to the community on 2 October 1974. Since then, the hospital has undergone multiple expansions.
The initial construction was funded entirely from private capital. In 1977, a second phase of construction began with the addition of Medical City II, which enabled the hospital to double its physician-tenant population. This expansion included a second patient tower and two physician office buildings east of the original hospital. The first physician office phase, Building B, opened in 1979, followed by the eight-story Building C and the seven-story north patient tower in 1984.
In the early 1990s, construction of additional expansions commenced, leading to the opening of CareTower D in 1995, a seven-story building north of CareTower A. Another significant expansion took place ten years later, with the addition of CareTower E, a six-story patient tower, alongside the expansion of the hospital's emergency room and North CareTower A.
