Mount Sinai West: History
Mount Sinai West, formerly known as Roosevelt Hospital, is a full-service, 505-bed medical centre with a long history of clinical excellence. Founded in 1871, it is located in New York City and serves patients from Midtown and the West Side of Manhattan.

The hospital was originally named The Jews' Hospital, but in 1866, as its role in the community grew, it changed its name to Mount Sinai Hospital.
