He was also the founder and President of the Security-First National Bank and was involved in the founding of the Los Angeles Country Club and the City of Torrance. Sartori was a key figure in the development of Los Angeles, helping to establish the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, the Subway Terminal Building, and the Los Angeles Civic Center. He also founded the California Community Foundation in response to a similar foundation in Cleveland.
