Bryce Hospital, Tuscaloosa
Bryce Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is the oldest and largest inpatient psychiatric facility in the state. It first opened in 1861 as the Alabama State Hospital for the Insane, later becoming the Alabama Insane Hospital.
