The Bacolod Sanitarium and Hospital was inaugurated on December 8, 1966, with Dr Willis Gentry Dick as its first medical director. The hospital was renamed the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center (BAMC) in 2004. It is owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, specifically under the Central Philippine Union Conference.
