Martyn, who is known for his content on fitness, weightlifting, and personal growth, took to social media to share his experience. In a now-deleted TikTok video, Martyn can be seen attempting a weightlifting stunt that resulted in him requiring medical attention.
The video, which received over 17 million views, shows Martyn lying on a piece of gym equipment while holding onto a high-density rubber weight known as a bumper plate. A woman then climbs on top of the weight, and Martyn attempts to lift her. However, the woman loses her balance and falls on top of Martyn, kicking him in the face in the process. YouTube video explaining hospitalisation
Hey guys, Bradley Martyn here. I wanted to give you an update on my recent hospitalisation. As some of you may know, I was injured recently and had to go to the emergency room. In today's video, I'll explain what happened, take you through my treatment, and let you know how my recovery is going.
So, as some of you may have seen, I recently posted a video of a weightlifting stunt I attempted, which, unfortunately, went wrong. A woman climbed on top of a high-density rubber weight, known as a bumper plate, and I tried to lift her. However, she lost her balance and fell, kicking me in the face. I ended up needing 10 stitches inside my mouth. I really should have used a steel plate instead of a bumper plate, as they are easier to balance on. I definitely won't be trying that again anytime soon!
After the accident, I went straight to the emergency room, where I waited for four hours before getting stitches. I'm feeling much better now, but it was a pretty scary experience. I'm just grateful that I didn't lose any teeth or sustain any other serious injuries.
In addition to this, I also wanted to share with you all that I recently had another health scare. I had been feeling sick and lethargic for a few weeks, and then I started passing out after taking extremely hot baths. I went to the emergency room, where they assumed I had the flu. However, it turned out that I had an infection, possibly from shellfish. I had an absurd amount of hives on my chest, which was pretty uncomfortable. Thankfully, I'm now on the mend and feeling much better.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all my followers for your support during this challenging time. It means the world to me. I'll be taking it easy for the next few weeks to focus on my recovery, but I'll be back soon with new content. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you all soon!
